My goal is to provide a positive, personal and safe environment which inspires students physically, mentally and spiritually


MISISION STATEMENT
Maintaining a class maximum of 12 participants ensures I am able to provide personal attention and modifications so that all students have correct alignment. Students are encouraged to move at their own pace and comfort level. I strive to share truth such as the importance of taking care of ourselves and the need to live in love. It is a joy to welcome students of all faiths.

YOGA - FAQ
1) What do I need to bring to a Yoga class?
· Comfortable clothing
· Water bottle
· A yoga mat

2) What does a typical class look like?
· The instructor opens with prayer, followed by yoga stretches.
· Stretches are modeled and modifications are provided so all students feel successful.
· Professional props are provided to ensure proper alignment and comfort.
· A Bible verse and quotation is read at the end of class.
· All students are encouraged to use the time at the end of the class for prayer, reflection and relaxation.

3) Am I allowed to observe a class?
· No because many people feel self-conscious having someone observe them
· A complimentary trial class is offered for the regular yoga classes

4) Are men allowed to attend classes?
· Men are allowed to attend the Partners classes as long as one person has previous yoga experience

5) How do I reserve my spot?
· Call 905 988 1883 or email info@prayersinmotion.com
· Arrange to drop off or mail a $25 non-refundable deposit or the full amount for the whole session

 

 

 

INSTRUCTOR
Louisa Phillips is a certified Yoga instructor (Yoga Space) with over 6 years experience as well as a certified Nordic Walking instructor (Urban Poling) with almost 2 years experience. In 2007, Louisa established Prayers in Motion – stretching Body, Mind & Spirit. She has a passion for teaching her students and inspiring them to live in love. My personal goal is to love God, love others and myself.

NORDIC WALKING - FAQ
1) What do I need to bring to a Nordic Walking class?
· Comfortable weather appropriate clothing
· Water bottle
· Running or hiking shoes
· Sunglasses

2) How is Nordic Walking done?
· Nordic Walking is done outside in all seasons but it is not recommended on ice
· Special poles with comfortable handles and rubber bottoms are used to push off the ground
· The basics are easy to learn and in just 2 hours, you can learn how to walk safely and with proper alignment

3) What does a typical class look like?
· The instructor opens with prayer.
· All of the instructions are given slowly and time is given to practise each skill
· Students walk in a loop so all students feel successful with no one always behind or ahead of the group
· Professional Urban Poles are provided with the Introductory full course
· The option of practising climbing a hill is given when all of the skills have been accomplished
· All students are taught basic stretches to cool down at the end of class

4) Are men allowed to attend classes?
· Yes, men and women are encouraged to attend Nordic Walking classes
